AVP Senior Credit Analyst

Salary: $63,500-$79,300

Description of Job Duties:
The Sr. Credit Analyst (AVP) supports PCBB’s Lending department with a spectrum of credit-related responsibilities. One key component of a Sr. Credit Analyst’s role is underwriting PCBB’s new loan opportunities as well as assessing the on-going performance of existing loans within the Bank’s loan portfolio. This role is expected to analyze financial statements and other resources in order to evaluate the financial condition of businesses and industries. PCBB expects that a Sr. Credit Analyst is able to complete a full underwriting package with minimal supervision and guidance. A Sr. Credit Analyst also contributes in other areas of Lending, such as training other analysts, researching and writing about credit-related topics, etc. 
Duties and responsibilities may include:
  • Identifies and gathers the relevant documentation and information needed to evaluate a loan request (or to assess the performance of an existing loan. This may include managing communications both internally within PCBB and externally with third-parties. This also includes properly handing file tracking and file saving in accordance with Bank practices.
  • Researches background information and reviews personal and business financial statements and tax returns, credit reports, OFAC reports (as applicable), and any other relevant information sources.
  • Assesses the credit quality of new loan requests and existing loans based financial statements and other relevant information pertaining to the loan. Part of this assessment process is to ensure that all loan covenants have been met and that all collateral has been secured properly. This presentation will be in a written format in accordance with PCBB’s best practices.
  • Reviews loan documents to ensure proper documentation of a given loan, particularly as it pertains to the approved terms in PCBB’s credit memo. 
  • Assists in portfolio management of client banks, including providing good customer service and communications to our client institutions, as needed.
  • Follows all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of bank credit experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in CRE and C&I lending
  • Excellent knowledge of personal/business financial statements and tax returns
  • Experience with Moody’s Financial Analyst or other similar type of spreading software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance and/or equivalent experience.
